Day 1: Hanoi – Arrival

Upon arrival at NoiBai airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure and overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2 : Hanoi cycle to Yen Bai ( B ,L ,D )

Pick up at your hotel at 7:30 and  transfer by vehicle to Son Tay and cycling to Yen Bai. along the Red River bank . Arrive late afternoon. Stay 1 night.

Accomodation : Hao Gia Hotel ( 2 stars )

Day 3 : Yen Bai cycle to Sapa ( B ,L ,D )

After breakfast. A demanding, hilly, day along the mountain and river range culminating with the ascent of the spectacular , visiting the Vietnam & China border gate if time permitting.  Stay 2 nights.

Day 4 : Sapa Biking and Trekking to Village  ( B )

Fedal by bikes to to Lao Chai villages to explore Sa Pa an old French hill-station, in a spectacular location close to the Chinese border. This morning we will trekking to Village , Lao Chai and Ta Van village ( Red Dzao and H’mong people ) . Cycle up the hill  back to Sapa .

Day 5 : Sapa Cycle to Lai Chau  ( B ,L ,D ) 

Retrace our route back over the Tram Ton pass to Binh Lu junction and follow the road 4D north west to Tam Duong and to Lai Chau . O / N in Muong Thanh hotel .

Distance: 130   km   

Cycling distance  : 100 km on good quality asphalt road

Meal: Breakfast , L = Lunch , D = dinner

Day 6 : Lai Chau Cycle to Muong Lay ( Old Lai Chau ) ( B,L ,D )

Cycle to old Lai Chau via the Hang Tom suspension bridge, following the Nam Na through spectacular gorges and Black Dao villages.  A long day with some climbs.  Stay 1 night. Hoang Long  Hotel ,

Distance: 130 km     

Cycling distance : 90 km on good quality asphalt road, transfer 40 km.

Meal: Breakfast , L = Lunch , D = dinner

Day 7 : Muong Lay Cycle to Dien Bien Phu ( B, L , D )

Our  full day in Vietnam.  Cycle to Dien Bien Phu – 150kms.  Dien Bien Phu was the scene of the historic French defeat in 1954.  Stay 1 night. O / N in Him Lam Hotel .

Distance: 150 km     

Cycling distance  :90 km on good quality asphalt road, transfer 60 km.

Meal: Breakfast , L = Lunch , D = dinner

Day 8 : Dien Bien Phu Cycle to Son La ( B ,L ,D )

Cycle to Son La 150 km  , along the mountain and river range culminating with the ascent of the spectacular , Today we will cycle up to the hill and long day for cycle . O / N in Son La .

Distance: 150 km     

Cycling distance : 100 km on good quality asphalt road, transfer 50 km.

Meal: Breakfast , L = Lunch , D = dinner

Day 9 : Son La – Mai Chau ( B , L , D )

Cycle to Mai Chau village around 130 km  , along the mountain range culminating , Arrival in Mai Chau village . Homestay in Thai house . O / N in Mai Chau .

Day 10  : Mai Chau – Ninh Binh ( B, L, D) ( 160 km )
Transfer to Man Duc and start to pedal through the rich farming land of the Red River Delta and we reach Nho Quan we are introduced to our bicycles. just passing scenes of local village life and rice paddies. . O / N in Tam Coc Villiage.

Day 11 : Ninh Binh - Hai Phong - Halong (B,L,D ) ( 170km )
An early morning start to pedal through the rich farming land of the Red River Delta to Hai Phong. Stop at PhoMinh pagoda and Tran Temple in Nam Dinh. The journey is long but road conditions ameliorated will allow you have more time at every stops. Today is a long day visit farmers at work and local homes. We continue our journey to Ha Long Bay (40 km) by minbus . Views of sailing junks navigating past over 3,000 limestone islands and out crops jutting out of the clear and emerald water of the bay are nothing short of spectacular. Overnight in Ha Long.

Day 12 . Ha Long Bay Cruise and Kayaking ( B , L , D )
After breakfast, Free for swimming on Bai Chay beach . Check out hotel and leaving for Halong cruise. Board a traditional wooden junk and begin your exploration of magical Halong Bay, one of Southeast Asia's premier tourist destinations. An excellent, Afternoon kayaking around  fishing villages , cave .fresh seafood lunch and dinner will be served on the boat. Overnight onboard the comfortable and charming junk cruise .

Bai Tu Long Junk Cruise

Day 13 . Halong - Hanoi  ( B , L )
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the aquamarine water of the bay at its best with kayaking. After breakfast and a swim, the junk will cruise quietly through spectacular limestone formations to Bai Tu Long. Enjoy this more isolated bay's spectacular and unique islands and pay a visit to the Pelican and Surprise caves. Return to Halong harbour after lunch for transfer back to Hanoi. and overnight in Hanoi. End The Tour
