World Gastronomy Festival kicks off in Vung Tau
The World Culture & Gastronomy Festival 2010 kicked off in the southern coastal city of Vung Tau on July 21, drawing 3,500 cooks and artists from 31 countries and territories.
 

World Gastronomy Festival kicks off in Vung Tau


The World Culture & Gastronomy Festival 2010 kicked off in the southern coastal city of Vung Tau on July 21, drawing 3,500 cooks and artists from 31 countries and territories.

Visitors to the festival will have chances to enjoy over 100 art performances by foreign artists and 250 ones by Vietnamese artists.

The opening ceremony took place eventfully with a parade, cannon shooting, and a bikini show.

The four-day event entitled “Taste the world” will introduce specialities and dishes of Vietnam and the world, a beer and wine festival and wine mixing performance.

The world’s well-known cook Martin Yan – Yan Can Cook is participating in the festival.
