Mandalay Biking Holiday – 2 days


Mandalay is the second-largest city and the last royal capital of Burma. Located 716 km north of Yangon on the east bank of the Irrawaddy River, the city had a population of 1,225,553 and start explore Mandalay with biking tour.   Tour includes some major cultural sites of interest as Ava (Inwa), Amarapura, Sagaing and Mingun along the Irrawaddy River during 2 day trip.

Day 01: Mandalay Arrival- Amarapura-Ava-Mandalay (with car & bike)(L,D)

Arrive at Mandalay Airport in the morning time. Meet and greed with our biking guide and start briefing for a while. Then cycling tour starts from Mandalay Airport to Tadar Oo Town with a first stop for refreshment (10 miles/16 Km).

After a short stop, you will leave from Tadar Oo and continue to Myit Nge Bridge (3 miles/5 Km), then pass Myint Nge Bridge and continue to U Bein teak bridge (10 miles / 16 Km) for a second stop.

You will visit 150-year-old U Bein teak bridge, built in 1851 at the time when Amarapura was the royal capital. Lunch at a local restaurant in Amarapura.

After leaving U Bein teak bridge, you will continue to Oe Htoke Tan Jetty (5 miles/8 Km) and take the local ferry to Innwa (Ava), located on an island between the Ayeyarwady and the Myit Nge Rivers or we will continue cycling through Ava bridge and touring around the Ava (Innwa). Visit Nan Myint Watch tower, Menu Oat Kyaung.

After that continue cycling back to Mandalay and visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, Kutodaw Pagoda, Golden Palace Monastery. Evening visit to Mandalay Hill to enjoy panoramic sunset view over the Mandalay Hill. Then dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay. (Cycling distance- 60km with flat road)


Day 02: Mandalay-Sagaing- Mingun-Mandalay (car, bike, boat)(B,L)

Breakfast at hotel, we will be start cycling around Mandalay. Visit Zay Cho Market and touring around Mandalay to visit handicrafts. After that, ride will continue to Sagaing Bridge passing over the Bridge to Sagaing, which is perhaps the living centre of Buddhist faith in Myanmar today . Your ride will then bring you to Let Pan Village (10 miles/16 Km) for a stop and some refreshment. After refreshment, you will visit a nails workshop family. Lunch at a local restaurant. After that, you will continue cycling to Mingun for a last stop along the bank of Ayeyarwaddy River (4 miles/6 Km) and will Pahtoedawgyi Pagoda, and Mingun Bell, the world’s largest intact bell. Then visit Home for the Aged at Mingun Hill. Late afternoon, after sightseeing, you will cross the Ayeyarwaddy River by local ferry to Mandalay and enjoy the sunset. The boat trip will give you the opportunity to discover the river life with different type of cargo or passenger boats but also bamboo rafts. Then arrive at the Jetty we will continue ride to your hotel. And then we will dropped you at your hotel.
